Travel from London

Sunderland is served by:

1) East Coast trains from London, Kings Cross station to Newcastle, where you change to the Newcastle metro or mainline train to Sunderland – the metro takes about 27 mins.

2) There are also infrequent but direct trains, London Kings Cross to Sunderland, on the Grand Central Line.

3) Domestic and some international flights arrive at Newcastle Airport.

The Newcastle metro runs from the airport, via Newcastle mainline station to Sunderland.  Travel time to Sunderland from the airport via the metro is approximately 52 minutes

4) From Sunderland mainline railway station you can take a taxi to University of Sunderland St Peters Campus where the conference is being held.
